Usage
After following the installation steps, you can find the connector in the list of connectors in Power BI Desktop. First, we need to change the security settings to allow for third-party connectors like the one for EduFrame.
- Open Power BI Desktop.
- Press File in the top left corner of the application window.
- Press Options and settings and immediately after press Options.
-
Go to the Security tab and select (Not Recommended) Allow any extension to load without validation or warning.
- Press Ok.
Now we are ready to use the connector.
- Click Get data.
-
Find the EduFrame Connector in the list.
and press Connect.
- When you press connect, you will be promped with a
API Url
field. Enter your EduFrame url. (Example: https://drieam.com/) As of now, there is no error checking here, so make sure you enter the url exactly correct (Including HTTPS:// and a / at the end). Press Ok. -
Get your API-key ready, as you have to provide it in the next screen.
Enter the API-Key in the
Account key
field. The second field is supposed to show the url you entered before. Press Connect. -
You will now be prompted with the Navigator.
This window shows all the tables that you can import. Select the desired tables and press Load.
You are now ready to use the imported data to build reports in Power BI.
